Inventory ERP case study · 2024: PIMSOne stock count, store and online.

PIMS is our own inventory platform. Most retailers end up running their shop and their online store as two separate stock counts, and the two drift apart within a week. PIMS treats them as one: a single product record, a single movement log, and stock levels both channels read from.

The brief

What we built

Inventory is not a hard idea, it is a hard discipline: every movement has to land somewhere, and the count has to stay true when two channels are selling at once.

Availability

PIMS is a Mirailit product. We run it for clients and shape it around the way they work, so the way in is a conversation rather than a signup page.

Ask for a walkthrough
  • Product catalogue shared by the physical store and the eCommerce channel
  • Stock level tracking with a movement log behind every change
  • Purchase and sales flows that update the same count
  • Dashboard reporting on stock position and movement
  • Built as a web application, usable from the shop floor or the office

In the product

What PIMS does

What it does for a retailer running a shelf and a storefront at the same time.

One catalogue

The same product record serves the shop and the online store, so a price or a name is changed once.

Stock that agrees

Both channels read the same count, which is the whole point — a sold-out shelf should not still be selling online.

Movement history

Every change has a record behind it, so a discrepancy can be traced rather than guessed at.

Store and eCommerce together

Built for retailers who are both, rather than an online tool with a shop bolted on.

Reporting dashboard

Stock position and movement in one view, instead of a monthly export into a spreadsheet.

Ours to extend

We built it, so shaping it around a particular business is a change request rather than a feature vote.
